Former Dalton State Forward and Carrollton High School Standout Will Wear No. 7 as Kangaroos Build Toward Champion League Tip-Off
CANTON, Ga. — September 29, 2026 — The Georgia Kangaroos announced today the signing of Timothy Green II, adding the former Dalton State College forward and Carrollton High School standout to the Kangaroos roster for the 2027 United States Basketball Championship (USBC) season.
Green, a 6-foot-7 forward from Temple, Georgia, will wear No. 7 for the Kangaroos.
The signing represents another step in the Kangaroos' preparation for the 2027 season as the organization builds a roster designed to represent its identity both on the basketball court and in the communities it serves.
“Timothy is the exact kind of player the Kangaroos are looking for,” Georgia Kangaroos Head Coach Brian Caswell said. “He checks all the boxes, so many boxes, it’s too long to go through each one. We are just really excited to have him on board and to be able to build around him with his help. We believe he will not only be great on the court but off the court as well.”
Green brings collegiate experience and deep Georgia basketball roots to the Kangaroos.
A graduate of Carrollton High School, Green earned Georgia High School Class AA Region 7 Second Team All-Region honors in 2018. His accomplishments extended well beyond basketball. His high school résumé included academic recognition, the George Eastman Young Leader Award, recognition as a Georgia Outstanding Citizen and Wendy's High School Heisman honors.
Green continued his career at Dalton State College, competing for the Roadrunners during the 2018-19 and 2019-20 seasons. He appeared in 56 games with 10 starts, shooting 48.3 percent from the field and 80.9 percent from the free-throw line during his Dalton State career.
His versatility was evident before college as well. Southeast Basketball Academy evaluations described Green as a long, athletic forward capable of rebounding, protecting the rim, running the floor and scoring with a midrange game — qualities that made him an intriguing prospect coming out of Carrollton.
For the Kangaroos, however, signing Green is about more than adding size and experience to the roster.
The organization is building the 2027 team around players who understand that being a Georgia Kangaroo includes a responsibility to the fans and community surrounding the team.
“Timothy understands our culture and fan focus, which we believe will make him a leader in our community as well as a great ambassador,” Caswell said.
