ABOUT THE USBC SYSTEM

ONE CHAMPION.
FOUR LEVELS. ONE PATH.

The United States Basketball Championship is a connected professional basketball system operated by USBN. At full scale, four leagues will include 12 teams each—48 organizations competing inside one national structure. Results determine the table, the table determines movement, and the team that finishes first in the Champion League is crowned the United States Basketball Champion.

PROMOTION & RELEGATION

PERFORMANCE CREATES THE NEXT OPPORTUNITY.

At the end of each completed season, the top three teams in National I, National II and Pro 4 earn promotion to the level above. The bottom three teams in the Champion League, National I and National II are relegated one level.

At the base of the system, Pro 4’s top three move up to National II. Its bottom three exit the USBC, opening three positions for newly selected teams. Movement becomes official only after USBN approves the final standings and applies the published tiebreaker rules.

The 2027 Champion League begins with six confirmed teams. Open positions across the four-level system are shown as To Be Determined and will be filled as USBN grows. Color bands show what each final position earns; no 2027 champion, promotion or relegation result has been declared.
