NORTH COBB, GEORGIA — Professional basketball is coming to North Cobb, and the North Cobb Aviators are preparing for takeoff.
The North Cobb Aviators are officially preparing for their inaugural season in the 2027 United States Basketball Championship (USBC), bringing a new professional basketball identity to North Cobb, Georgia, and the surrounding Cobb County community.
As one of six teams competing in the 2027 USBC Champion League, the Aviators are entering an exciting period of preparation, team development, and player recruitment.
Our mission is to build a competitive professional basketball team that represents North Cobb with pride, creates opportunities for talented players, and gives our community a team it can call its own.
And with the inaugural season approaching, we are looking for players who want to become part of that journey.
A New Era of Professional Basketball in North Cobb
North Cobb is a community with a strong connection to athletics, competition, and local pride. From Kennesaw and Acworth to surrounding communities throughout Cobb County, basketball has long been part of the area's sports culture.
Now, the North Cobb Aviators are preparing to add a new chapter to that story.
Our organization was established to represent North Cobb in the professional basketball system developed by the United States Basketball Network (USBN).
Through the United States Basketball Championship, USBN is building a structured professional basketball organization designed to create opportunities for players, teams, communities, and businesses beyond the traditional major-league basketball model.
The USBC's long-term vision includes multiple competitive levels, connected through a promotion and relegation system designed to support continued growth.
For the Aviators, that means becoming part of something larger than one basketball team or one season.
We are working toward building a recognizable professional sports identity that local fans can support, businesses can partner with, and aspiring basketball players can work toward representing.
Our colors, our name, and our identity represent the ambition of North Cobb.
We are the North Cobb Aviators, and we are ready to take flight.
The Inaugural 2027 USBC Champion League Season
The 2027 United States Basketball Championship is scheduled to begin on Sunday, May 30, 2027, with six teams competing in the Champion League.
The North Cobb Aviators will compete against the Augusta Groove, Duluth Express, Georgia Kangaroos, Stone Mountain Titans, and Team USBN.
Our inaugural campaign features a 20-game schedule, running from May through October 2027.
The Aviators are scheduled to make their official USBC debut on May 30, 2027, in an away game against the Duluth Express.
Our first scheduled home game follows on Sunday, June 6, 2027, against the Augusta Groove, with venue details to be announced.
Every game will represent an opportunity to develop our team, establish our identity, and compete against other professional basketball organizations in the USBN system.
Fans will be able to follow our schedule, roster announcements, team news, results, and statistics through our official North Cobb Aviators team page on USBN.pro.
But before opening day arrives, there is important work to be done.
We need to build our inaugural roster.
North Cobb Aviators Are Looking for Basketball Players for 2027
One of our most important priorities leading into the 2027 season is identifying and evaluating basketball players who have the talent, commitment, and competitive mindset to represent the North Cobb Aviators.
We are looking for players who want an opportunity to compete in organized professional basketball and contribute to a team preparing for its inaugural season.
We encourage qualified former college basketball players, post-college athletes, and available basketball free agents to register through the USBNsi Player Market, the official player identification and recruiting platform of the United States Basketball Network.
Players from North Cobb, Kennesaw, Acworth, Cobb County, the greater Atlanta metropolitan area, and throughout Georgia are especially encouraged to make their basketball information available for evaluation. Qualified players from outside Georgia may also register.
Our objective is to identify individuals who can help establish the competitive foundation of the North Cobb Aviators.
Whether you are a former NCAA, NAIA, junior college, or other qualified basketball player looking for your next opportunity, the first step toward consideration is completing your USBNsi Player Profile.
USBNsi Player Market: Your Opportunity to Get Discovered
The USBNsi Player Market is designed to connect basketball players with potential opportunities throughout the United States Basketball Network.
Instead of relying solely on personal connections, social media messages, or informal recruiting, players can enter their information directly into a centralized basketball scouting and evaluation system.
Through USBNsi, players can create a professional basketball profile containing their playing history, positions, physical measurements, statistics, videos, accomplishments, and other information relevant to potential team opportunities.
USBNsi Player Operations can then review the information, evaluate potential player matches, and help identify candidates for participating USBC teams, including the North Cobb Aviators.
Current player registration is free, and an agent is not required to create a profile.
A completed profile does not guarantee selection, a tryout, a contract, or a roster position. It does, however, provide an official pathway for qualified players to make their basketball background available for consideration.
For players who are serious about pursuing an opportunity in the 2027 USBC, we encourage you to complete your profile now rather than waiting until the season begins.

Building a Team, Building a Community
While competition on the basketball court is central to our mission, the North Cobb Aviators also want to establish meaningful connections throughout our community.
We envision an organization that brings together basketball fans, families, young athletes, local businesses, and supporters who want to see professional basketball succeed in North Cobb.
We want young basketball players in our area to have a local professional team they can follow. We want fans to recognize the Aviators as their team. We want businesses and community organizations to have opportunities to support a growing sports identity.
Through our participation in USBN, the Aviators will be part of a larger basketball network that includes league competition, digital media, player scouting, sports intelligence, and opportunities for fan engagement.
As our inaugural season approaches, we look forward to introducing our players, sharing team developments, and building relationships throughout North Cobb and the greater Atlanta area.
